The Role:
Our client Babcock DST are looking to recruit an experienced Commissioning Engineer to work on a contract basis for 6-12months based at Portsmouth.
Your duties will include:
Testing and commissioning of PLC and drive systems.
Fault finding and remedial work.
Implementation of site modifications (software and hardware).
Liaise between Babcock site and office teams.
Interfacing of control systems.
Liaison at all levels with customers.
DUE TO THE NATURE OF THE WORK AND CLIENTS INVOLVED - YOU WILL NEED TO BE SECURITY CLEARED

The Candidate:
You will be an experienced Commissioning Engineer who is security cleared.
You will be qualified to HNC / HND / Degree level.
You will have a good knowledge and understanding of PLC and safety system architectures and software for plant control. 
You will be experienced with HMI and / or SCADA applications for plant control. 
You will have a good understanding of networking and communications principles. 
Knowledge and understanding of PWM Variable Speed Drive technology.
