Overview:
Wilde Recruitment Ltd are working with a client in Cheshire WA16 in order to recruit a Construction Manager to work on an ongoing basis.
As a Construction Manager your duties and responsibilities will include: 
Key Accountabilities/Responsibilities
As a Lead Construction Manager, you shall:
Perform the duties of a Lead Construction Manager within the Projects Group.
Ensure that all Construction deliverables produced by the Projects Group are to the correct
quality, standard and compliant with procedures.
Set and maintain KPIs for Construction Department.
Develop and implement Company Standards.
Be familiar with all relevant H&S legislation and ensure full compliance in this regard.
Mentor and develop Construction Managers and Supervisors within the department.
Supervise and lead other Construction Managers and Supervisors, controlling budgets,
manhours and schedules for staff.
Liaise with other discipline Lead Engineers and Senior Management.
Arrange and chair project review and constructability meetings with the construction teams.
Arrange and chair constructability meetings with the engineering design and construction
team.
Presentation of proposals to Clients and Senior Management.
Preparation of manhours, deliverables and input to costs for proposals.
Develop and maintain comprehensive construction documentation - development of
diagrams, process maps and schedules.
Development and enforcement of safety procedures and minimising risk by promoting and
maintaining health and safety across the construction team.
Preparation of Procedures, Specifications, Plans and Scopes of Work. 
Undertake technical evaluations of tenders present subsequent written report including
substantiated recommendations.
Attend Progress, Interdisciplinary, Layout, Constructability, HAZOP, HAZID, HAZCON, Risk
Assessments, Client meetings and workshops.
Attend client offices and undertake site visits around the UK and occasionally overseas if
necessary.
At times onsite construction support may be required depending on the current portfolio of
projects.

Minimum Requirements – Education and Experience
Experience in either petrochemicals, oil and gas, power or renewable energy industries and
knowledge of applicable industry regulations and standards including CDM, Temporary works,
CE and UKCA marking.
Proven working experience in construction management.
Advanced knowledge of construction management processes, means and methods
Expert knowledge of building products, construction details and relevant rules, regulations
and quality standards
Possibly educated to a degree level and preferably have achieved Chartered status in
construction management, engineering or related field.
Understanding of all facets of the construction process
Familiarity with construction management software packages
Competent in conflict management and resolution
Leadership and personnel management skills
Excellent time and project management skills
An ability to think strategically and understanding the implication of changes to contract
scope.
An ability to work collaboratively with all engineering design disciplines.
An ability to challenge existing systems and procedures and identify where improvements can
be made.
Effective communication skills both written and verbally
Knowledge or experience of working in the US or Europe would be beneficial.
Working knowledge of Office 365 including One Drive and Sharepoint with proficient use of
Word and Excel.
