Construction Manager - Seascale - 12months - Rate c£51.04/hr umb

Overview:
Wilde Recruitment Ltd are working along side BBBEP in order to recruit a Construction Manager to work on a 12month contract at Seascale.
As a Construction Manager your duties and responsibilities will include:
The Box Encapsulation Plant project is one of the most important construction projects at the Sellafield Site, the plant will play a vital role in Sellafield’s 100-year clean-up programme by taking nuclear waste recovered from the sites original wasteplants and encasing it in concrete so it can be stored in a modern building. The plant is primarily designed to deal with waste from the Magnox Swarf Storage Silo, one of four legacy waste plants prioritised for clean-up by Sellafield Ltd’s owner, the Nuclear Decommissioning Authority (NDA). Alongside that work, the plant will also receive certain wastes from the other three legacy waste stores, the First Generation Magnox Storage Pond, the Pile Fuel Storage Pond, and Pile Fuel Cladding Silo. 
 
The BEP Joint Venture project will safely design and deliver a Plant and the works in accordance with the requirements of the contract to enable conditioning of wastes from the various donor plants, carried out in line with the Employer’s needs and to the satisfaction of stakeholders in the Box Encapsulation Project (BEP).
Role Purpose:
The Area Construction Manager will be responsible for the coordination and interface management with Project Management and Construction (Discipline) in order to manage the interfaces for a specific area. Ultimately responsible for assessment of readiness and the coordination for all construction works in that area, in line with the schedule demands.
The role will require support from and liaison with the Construction Discipline Leads, Package Managers & Physical Area Coordinators to ensure that the construction requirements are suitably addressed and delivered as required by the demands of the schedule. 
The Area Construction manager will be required to support and represent the Area JV Project Management function. The role will also require liaison and attendance at meetings with the Client’s Construction team and stakeholders.
Interfaces:
Project Management, Engineering Design, Procurement, Quality Assurance, Health Safety and Environmental, Construction and Commissioning Teams. 
Organisational:  The position reports directly to the Area Project Manager(s).

Coordination and interface management of construction handover requirements between package managers and multiple discipline site operations.
Provide input for reporting to the Area Project Manager(s)
Pull through to Commissioning completion
Experience of Project Management on multi discipline construction projects
Experience in the successful delivery of multi-discipline operations within a Nuclear licenced environment is preferred.
