Construction Project Manager

Construction Project Manager - 3 month+ Contract  – North West – c£375/day - Private Schools Construction Projects
KEY Skills: Project Management, Client Side, DfE, Construction, Contractors, Feasibility Studies


The Role:
Duties will include Client side project management.
Managing contractors, teams of Design & Technical Advisors and liaising with schools. 
Assist the school with the preparation of the strategic brief. Confirm that the school is given the required level of support in relation to Furniture, Fittings and Equipment (FF&E) and ICT procurement.
No line management responsibility, but will be tasked with organising Designers, Contractors and Tech Advisors.

The Candidate:
Membership of a relevant professional body (e.g. the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors, the Institution of Civil Engineers, or the Chartered Institute of Building.
Experience of working with and/or within local authorities, schools or academies
Experience in the procurement of major infrastructure projects including developing business cases, feasibility studies and letting of contracts.
Experience of delivering major infrastructure projects, including negotiation with contractors on delivery programmes, variation management and cost management. 
Understanding of D&B contracts and how they operate
