Consultant Quantity Surveyor

Consultant Quantity Surveyor: Central London, Permanent – Salary: £Competitive

The Role:

Individually managing projects under the direction of the department Associate or Director whilst also taking an active, more focused role on larger projects within a team-based environment.
As a Consultant Quantity Surveyor, you will be involved in a wide variety of projects including healthcare, commercial fit-outs, school expansions, heritage and master planning.

The Candidate: 
You will have around 3-5 years’ proven post-qualification experience in a similar QS role and ideally hold (or be working towards) MRICS accreditation. Construction delivery experience, as well as good pre-contract is a must.
Demonstrable pre-contract experience will include but not be limited to; preparing and using cost data derived from the plans and drawings, undertaking feasibility work, producing estimates, budgets & cost plans, value engineering, comparative design studies and providing cost control during the pre-contract phase.
In addition, you will also demonstrate the following;
•Highly motivated and passionate about delivering projects to time, budget and quality
•Organised and methodical, with particular attention to detail
•The ability to prioritise tasks and work to tight deadlines under pressure
•Have a pragmatic approach and possess strong problem-solving techniques
•Be commercially aware
•Strong interpersonal skills, able to build relationships at all levels with clients and employees alike, across all professional disciplines
•Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English, with an ability to communicate with tact and diplomacy.
