Contracts Manager - WFH - Duration 6 months - Rate c£45/hr umbrella.

Overview:
Wilde Recruitment Ltd are working along side Babcock Naval Marine in order to recruit a number of Contract Managers to WFH on a 6 month contract.
As a Contracts Manager your responsibilities and duties will include:
As part of the SI, provide support to the development of the facilities and infrastructure to support the future programme. Responsible for maintaining the optimum relationship with the Authority regarding facilities and infrastructure, whilst providing contract management support to prime contract agreements as required.

Principal Tasks and Responsibilities
The Contracts Manager’s principal tasks and responsibilities are: Implement tendering / commercial policies and procedures across all Contracts and Subcontracts
Act as contracts representative to supporting projects providing support, advice and guidance to project staff. Attendance at internal contract and project review meetings both internally with the project and externally with the customer.
Be proactive in building contractual relationships with MoD customer, internal project teams and subcontractors.
Identify / action / monitor contractual requirements and administer contracts in a timely manner.
Negotiate contractual agreements and resolve issues / claims both for and against the Company, within financial levels of authority.
Review and propose improvements to business unit and company policies, procedures and processes.
Provide reporting information to management and project stakeholders as required. Provide input and updates to various BU reports.
Preparation of subcontract procurement plans, pre-qualification of tenderers, drafting of subcontract strategies, proposals, invitations to tender and contractual documentation. Act as the lead commercial interface with the customer post-tender receipt to subcontract award. Managing invitations to tender, evaluation of tender receipts, contract negotiation and contract administration post contract award.
Preparation of prime contract submissions to MoD and act as the lead commercial interface with the customer post tender submission to contract award.
Co-ordinate project insurance claims and liaise with brokers and Group insurance department.
Provide, comply and assist with commercial due diligence governance against local and corporate procedures.
Lead export control requirements and early establishment with support from the M&T Trade Controls team.
Assist with management and supervision of department staff and mentoring of commercial graduates / HLAs.
Lead internal approval paperwork development of the commercial section including TAFs and liability assessments requiring Divisional / Group approval for either Contract or Subcontract Works.


Qualifications and Experience Requirements
Academic:
The Contracts Manager should ideally be educated to Degree/ HNC / HND level or equivalent in a subject related to business, business law or commercial law.
Experience
Demonstrable experience in contract administration. Knowledge and understanding of MoD / Commercial contractual terms and conditions. Ability to identify commercial risks, propose steps to mitigate and communicate such effectively. Must possess good negotiation, organisational and administrative skills, with the ability to prioritise workload.
