Contracts Manager (Highways): 6mth Interim contract, rate £neg
KEY Skills: Contracts Management, Highways, NEC Contract


Contracts Manager Required by Civil Engineering Contractor specialising in small to medium sized projects in the highways sector.

Duties will include:
Contract management, estimating; preparation of method statements/risk assessments and site supervision to contracts.
Ensuring standards are complied with through the delivery of projects
Ensuring any changes to contracts are agreed, priced and formalised
Maintaining good relationships with clients and subcontractors
Controlling, producing and managing of budgets
Managing multiple projects

The Candidate:
You will be an experienced Contracts Manager with a background in highways.
You will ideally be qualified to HNC or degree in civil or structural engineering, construction management or project management
You will have the ability to produce, control and manage budgets for individual projects

Your Experience will ideally Include:
Knowledge and experience of the NEC Contract
Detailed knowledge of construction methods and technology
Supervision of subcontractors.
Experience of running multiple projects
An understanding and experience of programming and conditions of contract (NEC, ICE etc)
Analytical and time management skills
Ability to plan and programme construction projects
Good communication skills both written and verbal
Effective IT skills
Familiar with current safety and environmental legislation
