The Role:
We are currently seeking a Control Systems Engineer to work on projects within the MOD / Defence and Maritime sectors based at Barrow. Submarine exp - ADVANTAGEOUS
Duties to include:
Managing design work in SMITE.
Acting as a Control Systems Engineer responsible to Engineer Manager and Project Manager.
Responsible for functional design specifications, hardware specifications including control desk, safety systems specs, alarms & interfaces and I/O.

The Candidate:
You will be an experienced Control Systems Engineer qualified to HND/ degree level with experience of working on projects within the Defence / Marine sectors.
Your experience may include:
Managing a team to interpret a design requirement and create a design solution.
As an experienced Control Systems Engineer you will provide professional engineering support to surface ship, submarine, commercial and equipment projects.
Be capable of producing control system architecture diagrams, single line diagrams, block cable diagrams and risk assessments etc.
You will also have knowledge of IEC61511/61508.
