Overview:
Wilde Recruitment Ltd are recruiting a Cost Engineer initially to WFH then at Harwell on a 10 month contract.
As a Cost Engineer your responsibilities and duties may include:
RWM is looking for a specialist in producing cost estimates in major infrastructure projects, providing support to the Technical Programme Manager and Cost Engineering Manager by:
Attend meetings with subject matter experts (SMEs) and planners, and assist with developing project and programme cost estimates.
Assist in producing estimates using the template developed.
Verify and validate the information provided.
Assist in producing the basis of estimate.
Assist in producing a cash flow of the estimate, work with the schedule providers to ensure the costs are phased according to the agreed programme.
Undertake checks on work by the Technical Programme Manager and Cost Engineering Manager.
File the information in the appropriate places in the RWM document management system (LiveLink).
Maintain a log to track information to ensure requests are responded to in good time.
Provide commentary on the values, obtain and record agreement from SME’s on inputs and assumptions and the estimate and cash flow outputs.
Develop and maintain a scenario management system to record and compare scenario cost estimates.
Update documented processes, procedures and work instructions for cost estimating as required.

To be successful in this role they will have experience of working with Project Managers and Work Package Managers to develop cost estimates. They will have a good understanding of the tools and techniques used for best-in-class estimating and be competent to undertake the work in-house.

Candidate:
You will be an experienced Cost Engineer / Estimator.
Ideally qualified.
At least 5-10 years experience.
