The Role:
Our Client seeks as CSA Strutural Technician to provide or deliver structural preliminary and detailed design, drawings, specifications, modelling and technical solutions in the delivery of the project as required to meet programme, cost and quality.
The individual will need to exhibit the skills required to work with minimum supervision and be able to coordinate their design proposals with other disciplines.

Duties will include: 
To provide engineering designs, drawings, models and calculations in the definition, implementation and delivery of engineering design work packages. 
Ensuring that design proposals take full cognisance of the requirements and principles of CDM. 
Ensure a design approach that is based upon providing deliverable solutions that satisfy issues such as buildability and procurement feasibility. 
Assessing and approving concessions and technical queries.
Establishing, leading and maintaining the engineering configuration, ensuring that the overall Design Intent and integrity is maintained throughout design development and subsequent changes.
Feeding back lessons learnt for use on other projects. 
Presenting designs for hazard identification and HAZOP studies. 
Representing the discipline to customers, regulatory and external bodies. 
Independent assessment of the technical basis of claims and disputes. 
Ideally, the applicant will have knowledge of, and experience in, the use of Revit. 
The applicant should have knowledge of, or experience in, Building Information Modelling (BIM).

The Candidate: 
Engineering or Science degree or be able to demonstrate a suitable level of successful experience.
Preference may be given to holders of relevant HNC / HND or degree.
