Deputy Construction Manager - Seascale - 12months - Rate c£52/hr umbrella

Overview:

Wilde Recruitment Ltd are working along side Balfour Beatty in  order to recruit a Deputy Construction Manager to work on a 12 month contract at Seascale Cumbria.
As a Deputy Construction Manager your duties and responsibilities will include:
Accountable for the coordination of all construction activities.
Ensure the right people, with right skills at the right time to optimise overall project performance
considering both technical and behavioural competence to meet the needs of the programme.
Assign roles and responsibilities for all Construction direct reports aligned to the wider project organisation.
Lead, manage and motivate the Project Construction Team through implementation of best practice and ensure a ‘zero defect ethos’ is installed in the project delivery team.
Ensure delivery teams comply with all construction quality management processes and procedures.
Understand requirements of Site Licence Conditions.
Deliver the construction works to the budget set by delivery management, in accordance with the
programme to meet performance outputs.
Ensure all site activities are undertaken safely and responsibly, and in accordance with the CDM
Regulations meeting all internal targets towards ‘Zero Harm’.
Review of engineering design documents, method statements and procedures for HAZCONS and
Constructability.
Review and input to the general site safety ethos in line with the BEP vision and charter including SIP.
Review and input to construction contractual arrangements, stipulating the minimum standard that the construction operations must meet to be allowed to work on site.
Manage the interfaces between the BEP DT construction operations and the Sellafield construction
department.
Deputies for the Construction Director at the BEP JV Management.


Candidate:
Leadership of either a significant major nuclear programme or a large infrastructure-related contracting business.
Educated to HND level or equivalent.
Will have a demonstrable track-record for delivering great outcomes on multi-disciplinary projects.
Will ideally have had experience of leading teams with diverse backgrounds, cultures and nationalities.
Will have had some exposure to projects that are subject to a high level of regulatory scrutiny, security and safety.
Will ideally have experience of working on a nuclear licensed site.
