Design Engineer – Doncaster – Permanent - £30-£35k

The Role:
Design Engineer is required to ensure generation of Engineering design deliverables prepared with due diligence after appropriate consideration of client’s requirement

Duties will include:
Own the process of preparation of design deliverables with due consideration for applicable codes and standards.
Interface with other departments to reflect the build date from other departments, as applicable.
Take ownership of deliverables produced & their quality.
Capture all changes and modifications in the deliverables that has been intimated by project, prior to release of deliverable.
Attend project review meetings.
Coordination with the other Engineering disciplines and stakeholders
Keep line management informed on progress of project, with agreed periodicity.
Responsible for all aspects of design from initial concept through to project delivery of trailer
Produce trailer and component designs, meeting current and historic specifications and current legislation.
Produce and control bills of materials and maintain assemblies through the supply chain system.

The Candidate:
Qualified to a minimum HNC / degree level in an Engineering or similar discipline or equivalent experience.
Experience of 2-D / 3-D CAD Design.
Working knowledge of AutoCAD software
Working within a design team.
Experience within the commercial vehicle sector would be preferred.
Experience of designing an engineered product working to specific industry standards.
