Design Manager - Plymouth - Contract 6 months - Rate c£30-£50/hr Ltd

The Role:
Wilde Recruitment Ltd are working with Babcock Naval Marine in order to recruit a Design Manager. This is a contract role for a minimum of 6 months based at Devonport Plymouth.
Working within the Engineering Services Facilities Engineering Department, who manage the delivery of complex nuclear & non-nuclear design projects, to the required scope, quality standards, schedule and cost.

Project involvement / Duties will include:
Lead and manage one or more teams of technical staff agreeing project related objectives
Ensure that the design and safety documentation cover the scope of operations required by the Project Manager or customer 
Plan for effective project implementation
Manage the deployment of design and safety resources
Manage sub-contracted design and safety packages.
The Design Manager must be able to demonstrate relevant knowledge and skills required in the technical management of complex design development throughout the design lifecycle.
Sound understanding of industry legislation, codes & standards 
Experienced in the design & substantiation of engineering systems.
in leading, motivating and supporting design teams.

The Candidate:
You will be an experienced Design Manager.
You should have at least 5-10years experience within a similar role.
Ideally qualified to HND / Degree / Chartered level.
You will need to hold current SC Clearance.
