Design Manager - Enabling Works - Plymouth - Contract 6 months - Rate £45-£60/hr Ltd Co

Overview / Duties:
Wilde Recruitment Ltd are working alongside Babcock Naval Marine in order to recruit a Design Manager initially for a 6 month contract based at Plymouth.
As the Design Manager your responsibilities and duties will include;
Develop, lead, manage and co-ordinate the technical design packages agreeing project related objectives, managing designer performance and making appropriate technical management decisions.
Ensure that the design documentation covers the scope of operations required by the Project Manager and is produced to agreed standards, schedule and budget.
To plan and implement project design and safety approach which is compatible with Design and Safety Policy/Standards including BIM, based on a sound understanding of business/project arrangements.
Ensuring effective Quality Management Arrangements operate and deliver through compliance with Babcock’s Business Management System and MIP Design & Safety Manual.
Ensure that the processes and activities being managed are appropriately documented with appropriate records maintained and configuration and quality controls applied.
Ensure that staff and contractors are familiar with the hazards and risks (Health, Safety & Environmental) associated with the work undertaken by the delegated engineering team through effective management and communication of the Risk Assessment.

• Removal of Existing Cranes
• Support to CDM Site Requirements
• Maintaining Site Operations
• Batching Plant
• Laydown Areas
• Treatment of Existing Services for Construction Works
• J1B Subway Removal
• J08 Entrance Caisson
• Gas Trench
• Existing Headwall Repair
• Existing Rock Anchors 

You will be an experienced Design Manager.
you will have worked on MAJOR Infrastructure Projects.
You will be Degree qualified / Chartered Engineer.
