6 Month Contract for a Development Planning Engineer for Local Authority, West Yorkshire.

The Role:
You will be working within the Highways Development Management team assisting in its function as highways consultee to Planning (Development Management) in assessing land use proposals within the West Yorkshire area.

The Candidate:
Experience in assessing and comment upon the highway implications of planning applications and developer enquiries on land use proposals.
Experience in assessing, appraising, and commenting on transport statements, transport assessments, and travel plans.
Experience in negotiating effectively with developers, agents and other council officers to secure highway improvements or financial contributions to ensure that developments can be delivered in a satisfactory manner.
Experience in the use of one or more of the following: TRICS, AutoCad, AutoCad Key Accident Data, AutoTrack
