Engineer (Drainage); 3 Months+ Contract; Manchester; rate neg to £34.0/hr (Umbrella)
Key Words / Skills: Highways, Drainage Maintenance, GIS, Site Inspections.

The Role:
Engineer (Drainage) required to work within a highway’s drainage maintenance team on an ongoing program of highways drainage maintenance works.

Duties will include:

Liaising with contractors and Issuing of work packages
Updating of GIS System
Updating data management system
Site inspection of trial digs etc.
Over-seeing HP Jetting programme

The Candidate:
You will have experience in Highways Drainage ideally maintenance possibly gained with a highways Drainage Contracting Company or a Local Authority Highways maintenance department.
Your experience will ideally include; the inspection and the preparation of reports of Highways drainage/Highways gully issues.
You will have good IT Skills, mainly Excel & Word.

Desirable Qualifications: 
You will ideally have ONC/HNC in a relevant subject. Other desirable experience/qualifications include:   

  • High Pressure Water Jetting
  • Medium Risk Confined Space Entry
  • NRSWA - Chapter 8

Driving License essential and own vehicle desirable.
