The Role:
Our client requires a Drainage Engineer to carry out drainage design and flood risk assessment. The role will be working for our client, seconded to a local authority to take the lead in relation to drainage and flooding elements of planning applications and for the discharge of related conditions. You will be required to adopt SUDS in pre-application discussions with developers and ensure drainage schemes are correctly designed to deliver benefits to the community and you will approve all drainage details submitted for adoption. The role is initially available on a 3 month contract but could be extended until April 2016.

The Candidate:
You must be a Drainage Engineer with experience in drainage design, Flood Risk Assessment and microdrainage calculations. 
You will have a degree in Civil Engineering.
You should have a good appreciation of Hydraulic modelling and 2D surface water modelling. 
You will have knowledge of drainage legislation: Floods and Water Management Act, Water Industries Act and Highways Act. 
Your computer skills should include MS Office, MapInfo, Mayrise, and AutoCAD
