EC&I Technicians - Reading RG7 - Duration 3 months - Rate £33/hr DAYS or £35/hr NIGHTS Umbrella

Overview:
Wilde Recruitment Ltd are working along side Cavendish Nuclear in order to recruit a number of EC&I Technicians to work on a 3 month contract at Aldermaston RG7.
As an EC&I Technician your duties and responsibilities will include:
The Technician, reporting to the Site Supervisor for all matters relating to quality and safety shall:-
Within his/her SQEP capability, carry out all work as instructed by the Site Supervisor to the requirements of the task documentation (i.e. Work Order Card; Method Statement, Construction Quality Plan; Risk Assessments etc.), with due care to minimise the potential for inadvertent disturbance to Site plant or equipment.
Comply with, in addition to the above-mentioned documents, all other relevant safety instructions as identified through the Site Supervisor.
Work in compliance with the requirements of the OC Health and Safety (CSG-PRD-HSE-0).
Report all anomalies, safety hazards, plant damage and specific problems to the Site Supervisor/Engineer before proceeding further.
Electrical Technicians shall interpret and implement the requirements of the Electricity at Work Regulations and IEE Regulations.
Cooperate with the Client, ensuring that work is undertaken to Client instruction and Client specification, in the implementation of Client safe working methods, using Client pro forma (unless otherwise agreed by Cavendish).
Comply with the rules and regulations, permit systems and safety requirements in force on the site and to promote these requirements within working parties.
Promote a positive health and safety culture.
Comply with current Cavendish/OC published policies.
Acknowledge Cavendish (Employer) appointments for Lifting, COSHH, Electrical Safety, RPA, RPS personnel etc., and authorisations for Driving, PAT, etc.
Comply with the requirements of both the Clients Safety Plan, and the Cavendish Nuclear site Health, Safety, Environmental and Welfare Plan, as well as associated documents and legislation.
Comply with the requirements of CSG-PRD-HSE-1.5 with regard to Working Hours and Fatigue:
Comply with the requirements of CSG- PRD-HSE-4.7 in Live Working.
Work so as to avoid danger to themselves and to others that might be affected by their actions or omissions.
Comply with the requirements of CSG-PRD-HSE-1.4 (Drugs and Alcohol Policy).
Comply with the requirements of CSG- PRD-HSE-3.23 with regard to contact with Asbestos.
Comply with CSG- PRD-HSE-3.20 in the use of Abrasive Wheels.
Not interfere with, use or misuse equipment that is provided for safety reasons.
Maintain personal training/qualifications as required by the Client and Cavendish systems (special process qualifications, supervisory, task, appointments etc.).
Identify the need for ‘in-service’ training, for him/herself and to advise Client/Cavendish management accordingly.
Report accidents, incidents, and near misses (or unplanned events) to both the Clients and Cavendish Management as specified in respective management systems.
Report all anomalies, safety hazards, plant damage and specific problems through the Cavendish Supervisor/Engineer before proceeding further.
Report unmanaged hazards to the Cavendish site Engineer-in-Charge.
Adopt at all times the S*T*A*R*T principle (Stop, Think, Act, Review, & Tell), whilst engaged on all types of works on site.
Attend weekly Toolbox Talks relating to matters of Safety and Cavendish policy.
Read and consider the content of Cavendish Safety Alerts and take appropriate measures to avoid incidents.
Participate in the production and review of Cavendish Point of Work Risk Assessments where the Client system does not provide an equivalent.
Participate in Pre Job Briefs.
