Ecologist:, Potters Bar, Contract, Rate: £120 per day, 6 months min
KEY Skills; Species Surveys, Highways Projects, Site Work, Conservation, Reports

The Role:
You will be required to organise and carry out ecological surveys related to highways projects. A large proportion of work will be site based.
You will make out reports and liaise with other members of the Environment Team to input the information into the network database and provide ecological advice when required.

The Candidate:
As an Ecologist you will have previous experience of:-
Ecological and protected species surveys.
Supervision of works on site.
Providing ecological advice to designers and contractors out on site.

You will be able to demonstrate knowledge and previous experience in the following:
Ecological surveys, data input using GIS and preparation of reports 
Advise on ecological matters and habitat/conservation management 
Assist with environmental assessments of schemes 
Other Environmental Team tasks as required; assist with landscape field surveys and site inspections/audits, including condition surveys; assist with the maintenance of the Environmental Management System (EMS) 
Support the delivery of the business’ Sustainability activities
