The Role: 
Our client, the Environment Agency requires an Electrical Controls Engineer to be responsible for the design and procurement of electrical systems. The Electrical Controls Engineer will be required to write and undertake Automation Risk Assessments, URS, FDS, FAT & SATs for both relay and PLC automated MCCs for Water Control structures and flood Pump stations. You will be involved in the full process, from preliminary scoping through to installation and commissioning, using a structured project management approach. You will produce electrical designs from concept and design through manufacture and operation. The role will also involve general electrical advice, asset surveys and maintenance advice.

The Candidate: 
You will be an Electrical Controls Engineer with water industry experience.
You will be able to specify MCCs for Low Voltage water control structures and pump stations up to 500kW pumps.
You should be able to write URS, and check FDSs submitted by designing subcontractors.
You will be able to write and carry out FATs and SATs as well as advise the project team on all electrical aspects of a project.
Security Clearance Level Required – BPSS (DS).
