Electrical Design Engineer - Plymouth - Contract 6 months+ Rate £35-£42/hr

The Role / Duties:
Wilde Recruitment are working alongside BNM in Devonport to recruit 2 Electrical Design Engineers to work on contract for an initial period of 6 months+.
The primary purpose of the PDSG design engineer within the Technical Authority is to provide professional and flexible technical support to the ongoing operations and maintenance of DRDL extant power systems and equipment. 
The provision of technical support and advice on maintaining the design intent of existing power systems and equipment include:
Attendance at Authorisation Group meetings;
Periodic reviews of maintenance regimes and activities;
Specifying replacement equipment/components and supporting the production of configuration documentation for permanent modifications; 
Maintaining configuration of technical drawings and documentation;
Reviewing concession applications;
Responding to formal Technical Queries;
Undertaking asset condition surveys;
Undertaking obsolescence studies;
Preparing asset health reports for critical assets;
Supporting fault diagnosis and rectification;
Identifying defects through Defect Condition Reports;
Reviewing industry codes, standards and legislation.
Power Distribution System Protection;
Frequency Conversion;
HV Generation;
HV Motors;
Transmission and distribution power transformers;
HV/LV switchgear;
HV/LV Cabling.

The Candidate:
You will be an experienced Electrical Design Engineer
You will have good communication skills both written and oral.
You should be qualified to at least HNC level.
