Electrical Designers – 6mth plus contracts up to £33.0/hr. Ltd – Rosyth - Scotland

The role: Electrical Designers required to work at Babcock Rosyth to join a team working on the close out phase of a complex new build vessel, within a multi-disciplinary Detail Design project.

Duties to include:

  • Interpreting electrical single line diagrams / block diagrams / schematics & standard design details for power & control and instrumentation systems. 
  • Producing 3D cable containment models (Ladder / Tray / Basket / Transits) using Foran, Tribon, AutoCAD, Navisworks, Hexagon S3D or other similar modelling packages 
  • Designing and managing the routing of electrical cables using appropriate standards, software and segregation rules to produce Black-line production outputs 
  • Preparing & producing 2D electrical marine drawing deliverables to required standards 

The candidate 
You will be an experienced Electrical Designer
You will be qualified to ONC/HNC/HND (or equivalent) OR BTEC National Certificate/Diploma (or equivalent) in a relevant subject. 
You will ideally have experience working on UK naval marine shipbuilding projects or off shore structures. 
Experience interpreting electrical single line diagrams / block diagrams / schematics & standard design details for power & control and instrumentation systems. 
You will CAD experience using Foran, Tribon, AutoCAD, Navisworks, Hexagon S3D or other similar modelling packages
Candidates require Baseline or higher-level security clearance.
