Electrical Engineer - 6mth plus Contract - Plymouth

The Role: 
We are currently seeking experienced Electrical Engineers to work on projects within the MOD / Defence and Maritime sectors.  
Duties to include: 
The specification and design of fixed low / medium / high voltage electrical installations.
Preparation of electrical power and lighting design calculations on fixed and temporary installations.
Liaise with other engineers & designers in interpreting input information and applying it to generate a comprehensive electrical design.
Preparing technical specifications.
Preparing drawings for drafting by the CAD team.
Site surveys, inspections and monitor site works.
Report writing.
Maintaining records and archives to company standards.

The Candidate: 
You will be an experienced Electrical Engineer qualified to HNC/Degree level with experience of working on projects within the Defence/Offshore/Marine sectors.
In addition your experience may include: 
Design of electrical installations including the production of design drawings, diagrams and schematics. 
Preparation Lighting Layout schematics and LUX level calculations by using of Dialux software.
Preparation of Electrical load lists, distribution load schedules and cable schedules for projects using AMTECH Software.
Design drawings for electrical equipment like UPS, Generators, LV- MV switchgear and transformers.
Production of Electrical plant layouts, Small power layout and Electrical schematic layouts in accordance with existing and relevant Standards. 
Power systems experience.
Marine electrical experience. 
AutoCAD software skills.
