Overview:
Wilde Recruitment Ltd are working along side Balfour Beatty in order to recruit an Electrical Engineer to work on a 12month contract in Dartford.
As an Electrical Engineer your duties and responsibilities will include:

The position involves;
Carrying out the design of medium (up to 11kv) voltage, Underground power cable systems.
Providing detailed installation design information in line with relevant regulations and legislations.
The bulk of this role will be working on diversion designs for HS2.
Guiding and mentoring graduate engineers and apprentices, when required, in line with Balfour Beatty policies and industrial standards.

Accountabilities or “What you have to do”
Autonomous delivery of schemes.
Responsible for electrical system designs and the design of cable installation systems.
Responsible for performing current rating calculations and voltage studies.
Responsible for providing cable pulling calculations and drawings.
Reading and interpreting client enquiry specifications and drawings.
Liaising with Client Representatives, Distribution Network Operators (DNO’s), and Balfour Beatty Estimators and Operations Engineers as required.
Attending site visits and meetings with clients and / or Balfour Beatty staff.
Working to international, national and client specifications including ENA guidelines and DNO 

Requirements.
Liaising with suppliers/manufacturers.
Liaising with the BIM team within the production of detailed design drawings.
Liaising with the Engineering Manager and other Design Engineers as required resolving civil, structural, installation etc. Design issues.
Responsible for the design risk assessments in accordance with CDM requirements.
Good understanding of UK HV distribution networks of different DNOs.
Attend weekly meetings with the client to provide regular updates on the progress of the design.
Hold Kick Off meetings, Interim design presentations and final design presentations.
Responsible for ensuring that all design deliverables for the design are named and managed accordingly within the common data environment.
To Assist the Design delivery manager / Lead design Engineer, where required.
