Overview / Responsibilities:
Wilde Recruitment Ltd are working alongside Babcock Naval Marine in order to recruit a number of ELECTRICAL FITTERS to work on a 12month contract based at Devonport Plymouth.
As an ELECTRICAL FITTER you will be responsible for:
Undertake the installation, repair, maintenance and manufacture of electrical systems as required on ships/submarine/land based systems in the marine defence and commercial industry.
You’ll overhaul and install a variety of electrical equipment that could include distribution, command and control systems, such as weapons, navigation and communications. You’ll also work to electrical/engineering drawing and technical specifications as you install and connect a variety of cabling, plus carry out system and equipment functional tests.
If you can bring technical skills and a safe working attitude, then we can provide you with some of the most exciting engineering projects this country has to offer.
What do I need to do the role?
You’ll have the ability to read electrical and engineering drawings to interpret work instructions and be competent in the use of general workshop machinery specific to electrical fitting.
Ideally will have worked in the marine industry with experience of Royal Navy ships and submarines, Royal Fleet Auxiliary vessels or large commercial ships. Other relevant experience will be considered.
You’ll need to hold qualifications in at least one of the following:
Indentured Apprenticeship
Level 3 Modern Apprenticeship in an electrical discipline
Armed Forces PO/CPO/NCO with electrical specialisation
Level 3 Electrical Engineering qualification 

Candidate:
You will be an experienced ELECTRICAL FITTER.
You will have worked on Warships, Frigates or Submarines.
Ideally qualified to ONC / HNC / HND level.
