Electrical Project Engineers – 15mth + Cont - £393.75/day (Umbrella) – Hinkley Point – Gloucestershire.

The Role: 
Our client is looking to recruit an Electrical Project Engineer to work as part of a team in the Solid Waste Department at Hinkley Point A. The team are currently engaged on a number of projects including: Modifications to improve waste retrievals, new and modifications to concept designs and the development of a new facilities for intermediate waste. 

As Project Engineer your duties may include:  
Identification of project functional requirements and stakeholder needs for assigned projects.
You will contribute to the production of Project Execution Plans including design, safety case and commissioning strategies.
You will provide support of the project optioneering process.
Development of concept design and fit for purpose engineering solution for projects.
Production and/or approval of project technical specifications.
Provide management of detailed design activities. 
Preparation of modification proposals as required, acting as a Nominated Responsible Engineer. 
Carrying out of technical assessment/approval of contractors work instructions/method statements/risk assessments.
Provision of technical supervision of construction/deconstruction activities to ensure compliance with design intent.
Approval of as built drawings.
Specify and provide technical supervision of commissioning and/or decommissioning.
Manage hand over to systems/operations ensuring that all drawings, instructions and training have been supplied as required.
Liaise and consult with system engineers and other stakeholders throughout project life cycle to ensure efficient and effective project delivery.

The Candidate:
You will be an experienced Electrical Engineer educated to HNC/Degree level with ideally membership of a relevant Engineering Institute and Chartered Engineer Status. 
You will have experience in a practising disciplined Electrical Engineering role on industrial plant. In addition, you will ideally have experience of nuclear and/or conventional project engineering. 

In addition, you will have the following: 
An understanding of relevant Company and/or national engineering standards.
A working knowledge of the Safety Rules and a working knowledge of risk assessment methodology. 
An understanding of relevant Site Licence and Quality Management System requirements. 
A working knowledge of the CDM Designer role.
Contract Management and Project Delivery experience.
