Overview
Wilde Recruitment Ltd are looking to recruit a Energy From Waste Consultant / Engineer to work near Manchester Airport on an ongoing basis, either on a staff or contract basis. An exceptional and exciting company to work for with very easy access to motorway networks. Some remote working is also available - attending the offices for essential meetings etc.
As an Energy from Waste Consultant your duties / responsibilities will include:
With over 39 years of insight and practical experience across the Resource Recovery, Energy, Water &
Wastewater, Transport and Aviation sectors, our client have been serving the requirements of a
multinational client base from our team of industry leading experts.
Their consultants bring together experts in health, safety and the environment having significant
experience of ATC technologies, spanning incineration, gasification, pyrolysis and plasma gasification.
The Role
The role will be to support the business in the following areas:
Identification of waste plastic supplies in the UK. – The company is currently involved in a
number of waste plastic to oil plants. The plants will take end of waste plastics (PP, HDPE,
LDPE) and convert it back into oil. The role will require the individual to contact with waste
plastic producers and suppliers to acquire the waste. Each plant will process circa 20,000
tonnes of waste per annum.
Support international projects (France, USA, Far East) with developing a
knowledge of waste supply.
Identification of End-of-Life Tyres Supplies in the UK – The company is currently involved in a
project to convert EFL Tyres into oil and carbon black. The role will be to identify sources of
EFL tyres in the UK.

A knowledge of the private and local authority Waste management supply chain in the UK is
highly desirable.
For all projects, the individual should also have an understanding of the technologies used to
process waste into feedstock. This should include MRF, Shredders, Conveyors, etc.
The role will require travel to meet suppliers.
An understanding of the commercial aspects of the waste management industry, including
gate fee profiles for different streams is an essential skill for the role.
The individual should have good communication skills, and presentation skills.
The individual should be able to work well in a team.
The individual must have a minimum of 10 years of experience in the waste industry.

About you
Experience in waste plastic management industry,
Understanding of the waste plastic supply chain,
Good understanding of commercial aspects of the waste management industry,
Ability to work within a team of multi-disciplinary engineers,
Good report writing and presentation skills,
Experience in trouble shooting.
