The Role:
Wilde Recruitment Ltd are working for RWM at Harwell to recruit a number of Engineering Managers to work on a contract basis, initially for 12 months. These roles do fall inside scope of IR35, so an Umbrella company will have to be used.
Duties/responsibilities;
Responsible for developing engineering solutions in specified areas of expertise to meet the needs of the disposal programme e.g. intelligent client capability in the area of mechanical engineering, civil engineering, mining engineering, transport etc.
Close liaison and interaction with other RWM functions, including: Disposal System Specification, Safety Assessments, Disposability Assessments, Disposal System Assessments and Integrated Project Teams.
External contacts include supply chain, other waste management organisations and professional institutes.
Development of engineering solutions including project management of work packages, where appropriate.
Engineering input to support other functions, e.g. disposability assessments and siting.

The Candidate:
You will be qualified to Degree or Chartership status.
You will have numerous years experience within the Nuclear Industry Sector with emphasis on Waste Disposal.
You will need excellent communication skills, both written and oral.
Experience of contract specification and management of contracts for engineering design services.
Understanding of aspects of geological disposal facility and / or transport system within own technical discipline.
Experience of delivering designs in a safety critical environment.
