Engineering Surveyor – Marine, Shipbuilding, Offshore; Rate to£40.0/hr; 6mth Contract; Bristol

The Role: 
Engineering Surveyor to manage the delivery of assigned Hull & System Surveillance Requirement Team H&SSR outputs. 

Duties May include: 
Managing and undertaking technical investigations and providing technical advice/support (where necessary) to other Engineers in order to resolve H&SSR issues, including those queries received from Design Authorities and/or forwarded from other internal departments; 
Scheduling and managing survey returns and production of summary reports for the H&SSR work packages assigned;
Review and updating of Master H&SSR Documents and conducting audits of the SMSA against the Master H&SSR Documents and answer enquiries relating to the H&SSR. 
Undertake all work in accordance with appropriate Quality procedures identifying amendments as required to account for changes in working practices. 

The Candidate: 
You will ideally be qualified to HND/HNC qualified in a relevant discipline with relevant experience, or OND/ONC qualified with significant relevant experience. 
You will have gained experience in a similar capacity in an Engineering Surveying role or have surveying experience gained on ships, submarine, MoD or offshore engineering projects. 
You will be IT literate, including MS applications Word, Excel and Outlook.
NB: this role may suit Engineers who have worked in ship building or on Offshore rigs as a Dimensional Control Surveyor.
