Estates Project Manager

6 month contract for an Estates Project Manager to work with the HMRC on major estates change programme.

The Role:
Lead the “intelligent client” technical function on behalf of HMRC, to ensure that all properties are maintained to statutory and other contractual standards and that all maintenance is carried out in line with Chartered Institute of Building Engineers (CIBSE) Technical Memorandum 40 (TM40).
Oversee management of the estate’s physical security and environmental compliance including the development of an ambitious strategy to reduce carbon emissions in line with Government targets.
Ensure HMRC’s compliance with The Health and Safety at Work Act 1974.
Ensure HMRC’s compliance with Fire Safety Regulations.
Ensure compliance with Construction Design M regulations.
Responsible for managing a network of people delivering a national assurance programme.

The Candidate:
Professional Engineering Registration with a minimum of at least 15 years’ experience post professional registration in a relevant estates post evidenced by a demonstrable record of continuing professional development.
Engineering professional with proven track record in the management of Estates, the Post holder will need to have led and managed a large multi discipline engineering estates team.                           
Knowledge of the Government Estate, procurement, contracts, change and HR processes and rules are essential.
