Overview:
Wilde Recruitment Ltd are looking to recruit an Estates Surveyor to work on a 6 month contract. WFH, Milton Keynes or London area.

This role is to support the strategic management of accommodation across circa 600 properties located throughout GB to meet the business needs and aspirations of the Agency. The post holder will determine the programme of strategic asset management for a third of the portfolio ensuring the estate meets property legislation and statute and is managed effectively to maximise occupation, best practice, value for money and financial efficiency.

The Post holder will represent the Corporate Estate Management Team in all property related matters including but not limited to rates, disposals, acquisitions, landlord and tenant and contract management of agents acting on our behalf.

The post holder will provide expert property advice and support to Property Investment Team, TFM team, Site Transition and Rationalisation Team and Operational and Enforcement colleagues.

Provide specialist guidance to operational teams in order to influence compliance with Agency, policy / legislation / best practice ways of working and contribute to the delivery of business plans.
Keep up to date on changing legislation / best practice externally, to inform internal priorities and appropriate alignment.
Contribute to the development of the Agency policy / process at national / local level and monitor and advise on effective implementation in the business, in line with targets. Lead or participate in projects, providing functional / specialist input to improve ways of working and business change _ efficiency.
Build and sustain effective relationships with operational customers to understand issues and provide effective response / steer for operational needs.
Mentor and coach others on policies, procedures, practices and techniques equipping them with the knowledge and skills to deliver their work in an effective and efficient manner.

The SEO Property Surveyor role for which we are seeking to fill using a contingent labour contract is a crucial role in the operation of Corporate Estates. The post holder is required to provide professional advice, support and guidance expected of an experienced Chartered Surveyor whilst helping to deliver those elements of the DVSA Estates Strategy relating to property acquisition, disposal, lease re-gearing and valuations.
