Facilities and Estates Manager – Land and Premises – c3month contract, Wiltshire

The Role:
A professionally qualified Facilities and Estates Manager is required to managing estates-related legal responsibilities, ensuring continued and effective stewardship of the DSTL Estate, meeting all statutory obligations. 

Duties will include: 
• Management of all client’s tenant and lodger leases including agricultural tenant agreements
• Negotiation of new leases or letting agreements to meet the needs of the business
• Management of satellite sites (INM, FRN, PDM, Harwell)
• Management of the Fort Halstead (FHD) lease exit negotiations with the site owners, their developers and advisors
• Management any land or premises acquisitions or disposals
• Preparation and issue all appropriate lease associated documentation including the various FHD lease notices and Licenses to Alter in line with lease conditions and time scales
• Performance of rent reviews, service charges and reconciliation on existing leases
• Land and building valuations, rates and appeals
• Lease records management
• Oversight of corporate utilities billing management

The Candidate: 
A professionally qualified Facilities and Estates Manager.
You will be a member of a relevant professional body e.g. RICS, BIFM (The Professional Body for Facilities Management)

You will have experience of the following: 
Understanding of the Landlord and Tenant Act 
Working knowledge of lease management 
Experience of the legal profession and commercial property management
Ability to work independently and without direct supervision
Lease exit negotiations
Demonstrable experience of a collaborative and partnering approach

Due to the nature of the work candidates to hold SC level, Security Clearance
