Flood Risk Engineer

6-12 month contract for a Flood Risk Engineer to work with the Environment Agency, where you will lead in managing the stakeholder relationships in order to support the development of the flood alleviation implementation plan.

The Role:
You will be key in building relationships and engaging with the affected Local Authorities, Major Asset Owners and technical stakeholders relating to Flood alleviation schemes.
Delivering the engagement plan to ensure stakeholders are aware of the projects; their benefits and local impacts.
Dealing with complex, confidential and politically sensitive material. 
Manage stakeholder relationships on a day to day basis to achieve engagement objectives and to develop a strong understanding of the regional and local needs. 
Organise and facilitate stakeholder meetings to achieve the engagement plan objectives. 

The Candidate:
Proven ability to establish and maintain strong working relationships with a variety of external and internal stakeholders.
Previous experience in stakeholder management.You will have technical experience in Flood Alleviation Schemes or Drainage. Previous experience of liaising with local communities, Parish councils, Businesses and Local authorities is essential.
