Flood Risk Engineer: excellent contract opportunity to work in Glasgow

The Role:
Our client requires a Flood Risk Engineer to be responsible for the delivery of feasibility studies identifying the viability of flood protection schemes and SUDS (natural flood management techniques). You will plan and produce innovative solutions to solve flooding problems and provide administration of contracts and tender processes on behalf of clients. Liaising with client representatives, local contractors, government agencies, local authorities and suppliers you will assist with preparation of bids, mentoring junior staff and coordinate multi disciplinary design and planning teams. As Flood Risk Engineer you will manage and deliver work packages forming major flood protection schemes or of entire Surface Water Management Studies.

The Candidate:
You will be a BEng qualified Civil Engineer, ideally Chartered or close to achieving Chartership.
You must have significant experience and knowledge of the UK Water industry.
You should have experience delivering feasibility studies and identifying options for water and flooding projects.
You will have a proven track record delivering flood protection schemes. 

The Opportunity:
Our client has an opportunity available for you to become an integrated and key member of the Water Consultancy team in Scotland, assisting in the delivery of major flood prevention schemes, on projects including Hawick Flood Prevention Scheme, Grangemouth Flood Prevention Scheme and Surface Water Management Plans for various local authority clients.
