The Role:
Experienced Ground Investigation Site Assurance Engineer required to join the team engaged on the new Lower Thames Crossing Project; based in central London, near Aldgate station
Duties will include:
As Ground Investigation Site Assurance Engineer you will be responsible for overseeing the Contractor's site supervision team providing assurance that the technical objectives and quality of the investigation are met.
You will be responsible for working with and developing RAMS (Risk Assessments and Method Statement) for CASCADE team on site
You will carry out quality audits of site investigation teams in relation to their management plans and specification requirements
Provide liaison with the ground investigation design team to review and confirm design and assessment goals to be achieved
Assist the Contractor's site supervision team in managing the progress of the ground investigation within the programme and cost constraints
Assist the Contractor's site supervision team in ensuring that the Contractor satisfies the requirements of landowners and approval and consenting bodies agreed in relation to the scope of investigation.
Respond to technical queries, review method statements and oversee production of site records by Investigation Supervisor's team.
Hold health, safety and welfare (HSW) as a key project value. 

The Candidate:
You will be an experienced Ground Investigation professional with experience of supervising major ground investigation campaigns on linear infrastructure projects, with a significant proportion of time spent on site.
You will have knowledge of geotechnical and geo-environmental engineering design processes and experience of applying appropriate materials, methods and tests to achieve information to inform design and assessment goals
You will be a Registered Ground Engineering Professional under the ROGEP scheme
You will have the ability to work with diverse external stakeholders / landowners to ensure agreements and constraints on access etc. are maintained
Hold at least one of the following H&S certifications:
o IOSH safe supervision of geotechnical sites (preferred)
o IOSH Managing safely,
o Site Supervisors Safety Training Scheme (SSSTS)
o Site Managers Safety Training Scheme (SMSTS)
Must hold a valid CSCS Card
Ideally would hold one of the following:
o Basic Sea Survival Certificate with in date medical,
o First Aid at work
