Overview:
Wilde Recruitment Ltd are working alongside NDA SLF in order to recruit a H&S Advisor / Chemical Co-ordinator. This is a contract position based at Sellafield initially for 12 months based at Sellafield.
As a H&S Advisor, your duties and responsibilities will include;

Development of health and safety documentation, including policy arrangements, risk assessments, COSHH assessments, method statements. This will include organising packages of work to dispose of legacy chemicals from SNM Facilities.
Arrange for and ensure the management of chemicals (Storage & Disposal).
Education of SL workers as to the process of purchasing chemicals, safe inventory management and correct disposal of waste chemicals.
Keeping up to date and ensuring compliance with current health and safety legislation.
Audit, assurance and governance of chemical management systems.
Assist SL COSHH Coordinator with audit and inspection activities on site.
Investigation of causes of non-compliance with COSHH regulations.
Guidance, support and advice to SL staff in with line the regulatory requirements.
General administration duties.
Support Regulatory inspectionsMaintaining and assuring the facility chemical inventory listings.
Be a key contact with the site Chemical Improvement Team i.e. attend forums/briefings.

Candidate:
You will be;
Proficient in all areas of Microsoft Office.
Must be well organised and a self-starter, able to work with limited supervision.
A team player with strong interpersonal and trouble-shooting skills.
Must be a strong multi-tasker and must excel at coping with conflicting priorities and deadlines.
Strong communication skills (both verbal and written).
You should also hold a NEBOSH Certificate.
