Hardware Engineer - Bristol - £40/£50 day - 7months - Contract

The Role:
Our client ALTD is looking to recruit a Hardware Engineer to work on a contract basis initially for 7 months based in Bristol.
Your duties may include:
Avionics development from concept to in service.
Experience in analogue and digital H/W design.
Knowledge of VHDL.
Understands how EMI, lightning protection, SEU and MBU can impact design.
Knowledge of applicable standards and processes (ARINC, ABD, DO160, DO254).
Be the focal point in the team for all electronic hardware related tasks.
Review requirement set driving electronic hardware, including implementation by supplier.
Review supplier rational for the design decisions and implementation deadlines.
Review supplier avionics design and verification to ensure it fulfils the needs.
Review supplier qualification strategy and determine risk of impact on certification .
Follow supplier development activities and deliverables (test reports, FMEA…).
Define Airbus verification activities related to electronic hardware.
Presentations on the design progress and issues at various stages in the programme.
Up to date H/W development status (plan, schedule, R&O, baseline definition, progress status)
Updated requirement set for electronic hardware (function, I/O, environmental…).
Validation evidence report.
Test cases for electronic H/W.

The Candidate:
You will be a specialist of electronic/electrical hardware application in aerospace.
You will be an experienced Hardware Engineer with at least 5-10 years experience.
You should be qualified minimum HNC / HND.
You will have excellent communication skills both written and oral in addition having good people skills.
