Overview:
Wilde Recruitment Ltd are working along side Balfour Beatty in order to recruit Head of Quality.
As Head of Quality your duties and responsibilities will include:
To be a member of the extended Senior Leadership Team within the Regional London business. To build on the Corporate and UK Quality Strategy and provide functional leadership to the Business Unit Quality resources. To be the BU Quality expert practitioner to provide specialist quality leadership including setting the strategy and implementing measures to continually improve quality and compliance across operations to achieve defect free delivery.

To ensure that the organisation has the necessary strategy, culture, resources and behavioural traits to deliver its projects right first time that meet requirements every time and drive the “defect-free delivery”, the “Elimination of Waste” and reduce the “Cost of Quality” through:
Ensuring the BUs Quality processes, controls, improvement programmes align with the core BB Group and UK Quality requirements.  
Develop and manage the implementation of the Quality Strategy for the BU.
Develop the Resourcing Model for Quality team members within the BU.
Ensuring the BU adopts the BB UK competence model for Quality.
Develop and implement the Business Management System for BU projects, ensuring that the Business Management System is fit for purpose to deliver BU Projects and meets the requirements of the BBUK BMS.
Promotion of continuous improvement and excellence across the BU and on projects.
To lead, either directly, or in a matrix environment, Quality teams working on SBU projects.
Ensure that Corporate Quality KPIs are met as a minimum and that further suitable project governance arrangements and KPI’s are developed and Implemented and that timely and effective reporting is carried out.
In conjunction with the UK Audit function, ensure that a suitable and effective audit regime is in place and that audits are conducted to the plan.
Attend meetings as dictated by the business requirements.
Attend meetings and briefings from the clients.
Review and contribute to supply chain procurement decisions with a focus on quality and assist with supply chain quality process improvements as necessary
Deliver training, briefings and workshops as required.
Assist with resolution of any Quality related issues arising and make informed decisions on their resolution.
Investigations of Major or Complex Quality Issues.
Liaise with the business aftercare teams to ensure that lessons learnt are consistently applied to future projects.
