The Role:
Our client Babcock is looking to recruit for a senior position based at Plymouth as Head of Technical Design - Facilities. 
The primary purpose of the Head of Facility Design post is to technically direct development of Facility Designs suitable to be constructed to cost, schedule and meet an agreed set of technical requirements. 
Duties to include:
Delivery of Facility Design to Technical Quality 
Implement Design Processes 
Implement Design Standards 
Contribute to development of Design Processes & Standards 
Provide focal point for the Design Policy 
Design Requirements Approval 
Develop & Plan Design SoW 
Design Resource Management 
Manage the design team ONR interface 
Work with Head of Nuclear Safety & CE 
Principal interface with Head of Site TA 

The Candidate:
You will be a senior engineer ideally qualified to BEng or Chartership level.
You will have design management experience.
You will have excellent communication skills both written and oral.
Ideally you will have experience with Substantiation of Nuclear Safety Class 1 engineering.
You should have Senior Management Leadership Skills.
