Health & Safety Advisor

5 month contract for a H&S Advisor, London, Inside IR35

The Role:
Provide a systematic approach to auditing geographically widespread properties across the department’s estate.
Conducting detailed risk assessments for each of the properties.
Preparing detailed reports of the assessments, highlighting remedial actions required.
Liaising with on-site representatives, including building management, facilities management and / or contracted workers.

The Candidate:
NEBOSH general certificate level (essential requirement) with evidence of relevant experience and an understanding of FM teams.
Willing to travel to sites across England, Wales and Scotland.
Ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines.
Confident in use of Office programs to deliver comprehensive written assessments on a short turnaround.
Strong working knowledge of facilities management responsibilities, such as statutory testing, maintenance of high hazard equipment and processes (e.g. lifting equipment, cooling towers, gas systems).
Knowledge of current legislative requirements for commercial landlords and tenants.
Ability to challenge and question people, process and systems in a direct but non-offensive and tactful manner
Ability to react quickly when necessary to ensure continuity of service.
Familiarity with FM records management systems.
Flexible, reliable and adaptable to cover priority health and safety activities.
Comfortable working both alone and with a team in an office environment.
