Health and Safety Consultant (Group Manager): Senior Interim Role . 10mths - c£600.0 to £700.00 Manchester 
Key Skills: CMIOSH, 15years plus exp in a Senior H&S role for a large infrastructure/highways/Construction organisation engaged on projects in the highways/Infrastructure sectors.

The Role:

Health and safety Consultant, (Group Manager) Interim role).
You will be responsible for coordinating and leading the successful day to day delivery of a competent Health & Safety group, for an organisation of 4000 plus people.You will provide effective strategic leadership to the group in accordance with organisational values to motivate the team and manage performance.You will be responsible for line management of up to ten direct reports, with a group of up to 30 nationally dispersed people performing the roles of team leaders, managers, advisors, business partners, auditors, inspectors etc., for a 24/7 fast moving and changing infrastructure owner and manager.You will take ownership of the client’s monthly performance reporting, assuring that contributions to it from around the group, wider business, and suppliers are of the highest quality demanded by an Executive and Board.You will contribute to wider change in management approach in the Division. Engage with employees, unions, senior managers and directors during delivery of actions.Lead the relationship with senior leaders and Executives, in the group assuring the safety of our own employees and supply chain, including associated stakeholder management at a senior level internally and externally.

The Candidate: 
CMIOSH is Essential and in addition you will have a min fifteen years plus experience in an H&S role for a large (4000+) organisation who ideally deliver/maintain highways.Highways experience is advantageous or construction/utilities.
Programme and project management experience essential.
Managing and working effortlessly at a senior level with teams/people and Executives/Directors.
Working collaboratively in a national organisation and remotely based, in a fast paced and demanding situation around a change setting.
Must have experience of writing papers/submissions to senior leaders and boards and working at a corporate level.
