Health & Safety Manager: Contract, Nottingham, Duration: ~2 months, Rate: c£550 umbrella (IR35)

This position represents a core function within the client’s estates management team – being responsible for the Health and Safety standards for the client estate, staff and customers.
Duties will involve:
As a Health & Safety Manager, you will have key responsibility for the Health and Safety Management Plan, guaranteeing that risks and threats inherent to the operations and development of the estate are appropriately addressed within all current and relevant legislation and regulations.
Specifically, you will;
Be H&S liaison with Engineering Heads and FM Heads, providing H&S and technical expertise where required
Volunteer assessment expertise and advice within pre-planned FM Services/Transformation programmes
Foster and sustain strong supportive links with stakeholders
Work closely with estates team colleagues, challenging contractor and service provider solutions where appropriate
Reactive/proactive provision of KPI data
Liaise with FM Services Management Team regarding their incorporation in to future contracts
You will have extensive and significant experience in a large estates / commercial environment evidenced by a demonstrable record of continuing professional development.
You’ll also be professionally-qualified holding;
NEBOSH Occupational Safety and Health Diploma OR
City & Guilds NVQ 5 Diploma in Occupational Health and Safety OR
Equivalent QCF Level 6 Qualification
Must be a Chartered Member of IOSH i.e. CMIOSH
BPSS (Baseline Personnel Security Standard) required.
Other desirable memberships/qualifications include;
NEBOSH Construction Certificate or Equivalent construction qualification
Fire Safety Qualification.
Member of the Government Property Profession.
