The Role:
The National Nuclear Laboratory’s Central Laboratory requires a Health Physics Monitor to assist in the delivery of Health Physics requirements.

Duties will involve:
You will be required to undertake;
Routine and ad-hoc radiation and contamination surveys using various radiation Protection Instruments
Writing up of surveys and ensuring log entries are clearly recorded.
In-cell work requiring PPE (including Tyvek, Nuprotek and Airfed suits).
Monitoring of waste
Flask monitoring
Clearance monitoring.

The Candidate:
The candidate will have the following essential qualifications;

City & Guilds Radiation Protection Stage 1
OR
NVQ Level 2 in Radiation Protection

In addition, it would be an advantage to possess the following;
Security Check (SC) security clearance
Knowledge of IRRs
A minimum of 3 years’ experience in the same type of role.
