Excellent 6 month+  Contract opportunity for a Highway Design Engineer to work on various Highways England related projects from our clients offices in Warrington; £Negotiable
KEY Skills; Highways Design, Barrier, DMRB, MCHW, Highways England, TRO, Bill of Quantities, Pavement 


The Role:
Assisting the lead designer on a range of highway projects through detailed design.
Completion of the design of Vehicle Restraint Systems in accordance with TD19/06, including the completion of RRRAP (Road Restraint Risk Assessment Process).
Technical responsibilities for ensuring designs are delivered in accordance with current standards & best practices. 
Liaison with other disciplines and teams as required on projects.
Liaising with clients and 3rd parties as required. 

The Candidate:
Previous knowledge & experience of Highways England projects and Local Authority Projects 
The ability to act as lead designer on a range of projects and assist with the delivery of other projects as required- A comprehensive understanding of the DMRB and MCHW 
Demonstrable experience of pavement design, sign design and barrier design (inc. RRRAP Assessments).
Experience of producing Specifications and Bills of Quantities
Experience of producing TRO’s, TTRO’s 
A comprehensive knowledge of health and safety issues in relation to the design and construction of civil engineering works, including experience of producing designer Risk Assessments and designer responses to Road Safety Audit
