The Role:
As a Highways Design Engineer, you will possess the necessary experience, knowledge and technical expertise to assist the project manager on various commissions for which their support and assistance is required.
Duties will involve preparation of highway designs, reviewing scheme drawings, assisting with the preparation of design fee estimates and interfacing with clients.
A working knowledge of the DMRB and current relevant design standards/codes is essential.

The Candidate:
You will ideally hold a Degree or HNC in Civil Engineering.
Experience of working in a highway design office in either local authority or consultancy office.
Experience of delivering highway related projects.
Conversant with the technical approval process in relation to Section 278 and Section 38 detailed design.
Excellent communication skills in order to liaise with other discipline team members.
