Highways Clerk of Works - 7 month+ Contract  – Aberdeen (North) – c£30/hour

The Role:
The Highway Clerk of Works will be supervising construction of the North section of the Aberdeen Western Peripheral Route AWPR including the witnessing and recording of operations and activities on a daily basis and checking elements of the permanent works construction before they are covered up or before moving to the next stage. 
Liaising with the construction joint ventures site team. 

The Candidate:
Experience of similar highway and bridge construction projects. 
An understanding of the Manual of Contract Documents for Highway Works, the Design Manual for Roads and Bridges DMRB and Eurocodes. 
An understanding of health and safety issues in relation to the design and construction of road and bridge projects. 
Previous experience of Transport Scotland projects would be advantageous.
