Highways Design Engineer – circa 3 month plus contract, East Sussex
KEY Skills: Highways Design, AutoCAD 

The Role:
Client is seeking an experienced Highways Design Engineer to undertake the design of highway improvement schemes from design to implementation.
Duties will include:
Providing technical expertise to ensure that highway scheme designs are prepared in accordance with current legislation, best practice and to the highest technical standards.
Responsible for providing technical advice and guidance regarding highway, traffic management and safety improvements to ensure delivery to agreed timetables.
Ensure that schemes are prepared for assigned projects in accordance with current health and safety procedures and regulations.
Assume Principal Designer roles for assigned scheme as defined under the construction regulations (design management), as appropriate.

The Candidate:
You will be an experience Design Engineer, educated to Degree/HND level or able to demonstrate considerable relevant experience and be an IEng. Incorporated Engineer.
You will ideally have experience of the following:
Extensive knowledge of highway design engineering and contracts
Experience of highway design
Experienced in AutoCAD design and 3D design software
Experience of producing briefs
Experience of managing external consultants desirable
