Highways Development Control Engineer - 6 Months Contract - Wokingham - c£35.0/hr

Our client requires a Highways Development Control Engineer to join a busy team in Wokingham working on new housing developments on Section 106 planning applications. This involves land use, restrictions and bond agreements.
You will advise local planning authorities, developers, highway consultants, public and councillors in relation to planning applications, to ensure that developments are being delivered in accordance with the council’s policies and standards. You will produce Transport Assessments, Transport Statements, Travel Plans and other supporting documents submitted with planning applications to identify and offer solutions to address the impact of proposals on adjacent roads and the rest of the highway network. As Highways Development Control Engineer you will evaluate, negotiate and deliver/monitor the progress of highway mitigation work, securing S278, S38 and S106 agreements between relevant parties. You will attend meetings with Local Planning Authorities, Councillors, developers, contractors, colleagues and other organisation to discuss highway development control issues.
You will be a Highways Development Control Engineer from a Local Authority background.
You must have Highways Development Control experience.
You will have experience of S106 discussions and dealing with developers.
You should be from a pre-planning development control background.
