3 -month Contract for a Highways Maintenance Manager to oversee 3rd party works and inspections on East Sussex Highway network – Based in East Sussex - Rate £Negotiable

The Role: 
Monitor activities to ensure finished work is in accordance with design, drawings, specifications.
Manage the production and maintenance of as-built records. 
Ensure all cyclical works are carried out to the client requirements. 
Identify and obtain relevant information in order to plan the works. Ensure necessary information is provided to all parties (client, staff, designers, operatives, sub-contractors, suppliers, etc) to ensure construction, maintenance and costing. 
Monitor of expenditure in relation to the annual service plan for Maintenance for East Sussex Highways. Ensuring delivery within lump sum for Maintenance. 
Ensure that all operatives receive regular toolbox talks relevant to current/future site activities. 

The Candidate: 
Experience which you can clearly demonstrate in a Highway inspection/operational manager environment. 
Knowledge of Highway standards and documentation.
Proven management experience within the highways local authority industry with a good understanding of all highway related matters.
