Highways Programme Manager: Birmingham, Contract, £670 per day (Umbrella), 5 months

Our client requires a Highways Programme Manager to work in Birmingham.
Planning plays a crucial role, providing strategic direction to the organisation and working closely with all the other directorates to enable delivery of the company’s ambitious agenda.
You will join a forward thinking team, working at the strategic centre of the Organisation.
You will be responsible for developing and managing the programme of activities of their next 5-year business plan.
You will join the Programme Management Office, driving all programme management functions including governance and assurance, risk, budget, consultant contract management, submission production, planning and resource forecasting.
You will ensure appropriate corporate governance, providing assurance, briefings and updates, and escalating issues for resolution.
Track the planning of the programme to ensure it is up to date and on track on various highways schemes.
Pro actively identify likely problems which may hinder delivery.
Highlight areas of insufficient information that may cause a problem with the programme.
Ensure that there is a robust adherence to the PPM process.
Travel to various sites
